Ed Siegert was part of the team which obtained a substantial subrogation recovery for a London insurer arising out of an explosion in an ice cream manufacturing facility caused by a failure of the ammonia refrigeration system. The explosion caused significant property damage to the facility resulting in a major disruption of the supply of a premium ice cream during critical summer months. The multi-party litigation resulted in the production of hundreds of thousands of pages of documents, hundreds of depositions and multiple trips to the Iowa Supreme Court (Pillsbury v.
