|
|
Ed Siegert served as lead defense counsel and obtained a dismissal for lack of personal jurisdiction on behalf of a Danish product manufacturer sued in California. The trial court determined that plaintiff had failed to properly serve the defendant in accordance with the requirements of the Hague Service Convention, and further, that the party asserting jurisdiction failed to demonstrate the Danish defendant purposefully availed itself of the benefits and protections of the California forum. (Walton v. Jorgensen Laboratories v. Jorgen Kruuse A/S).
