John Lynch and Holly Stevens obtained a not guilty verdict on behalf of a product manufacturer. The plaintiff, a 46 year old aerospace engineer, claimed that while operating the defendant's rubber mill she inadvertently caught her right hand in the nip point of the mill resulting in amputations of her forth and fifth fingers, related injuries and complex region pain syndrome. The plaintiff alleged that as a result she incurred over $150,000 in medical bills and suffered over $600,000 in lost wages. The plaintiff’s counsel asked the jury for an award of up to $3.7 million.
